More than childcare

Why Families Choose Nightingales

Everything we do is designed to help children feel secure, develop confidence and enjoy discovering the world around them.

Learning Through Play

Our learning experiences are shaped around each child’s stage of development, interests and choices. Monthly themes introduce new ideas while giving children the freedom to explore, create and learn through play.

Four Outdoor Play Areas

Our four flexible outdoor spaces allow us to take learning and play outside throughout the year. Children can climb, build, investigate nature, enjoy our mud kitchen and discover new ways to play.

Ready for School

Our experienced pre-school team helps children develop independence, communication, confidence and the practical skills that support a happy and successful move into school.

Care from Baby to Pre-School

From our nurturing Baby Unit through to pre-school, children receive consistent care from an experienced team who take time to understand their routines, personality and individual development.

The great outdoors

Space to Explore, Discover and Grow

We believe children benefit enormously from spending time outdoors. Whenever possible, we take our learning, activities and play into our multi-functional gardens.

Our outdoor spaces give children the freedom to move, experiment and use their imaginations. They can enjoy climbing trees, construction activities, our cottage, the mud kitchen and many other opportunities for creative and active play.

Our Penarth location also allows us to explore the wider community. Children enjoy regular walks and outings to Belle Vue Park, Penarth Pier, Cardiff Bay Barrage and other nearby places of interest.
